With the decision to retire as the Managing Director of CHANEL Australia and New Zealand, David Blakeley also retired from his role as Chair of the Board of the Cancer Patients Foundation at the end of 2021.

Over his 17-year tenure, David generously donated his time, wealth of knowledge and business acumen to the Look Good Feel Better program. This generosity has ensured Australians undergoing cancer treatment could receive the practical and emotional support that is so important in confidently navigating a cancer diagnosis and treatment, and we thank him for his unwavering commitment.

With David's departure, we are pleased to announce that Rosi Fernandez has been appointed as the new Chair. Rosi, Managing Director Australia and New Zealand of La Prairie Group, joined the Cancer Patients Foundation Board in 2018 and has shown boundless support of the charity since that time.

On her appointment, Rosi said, “Firstly a sincere thank you to David Blakeley for his 17 years of contribution to the role of Chair of the Cancer Patients Foundation board - I have been inspired by his endless energy and commitment to supporting the cause. His legacy will be felt for many years to come and personally I count on his advice for this next stage.

I am so very proud to be entrusted with this role. For the past 31 years, the cosmetics industry has donated hundreds of thousands of products, millions of dollars and many many volunteer hours to ensure that cancer patients can face their diagnosis and treatment with confidence and dignity.

I am looking forward to working in conjunction with the management and board to ensure that we can grow the awareness of the service, so that more patients can be helped into the future. Our goal will be to ensure that all our supporters feel proud of how far their donations have gone to rebuild the lives of people undergoing cancer treatment, and to continue to be the charity of choice for the generous and united beauty industry in Australia.”

Our congratulations go to Rosi. We look forward to a successful future working together for the benefit of all Australians undergoing treatment for any type of cancer.
